Finally! The garlic is ready for harvesting!
Two weeks ago the time has come: the garlic was ready to be harvested. On the left side the sort Messidrome, on the right Casablanca.
That’s how it looks directly after it has been pulled out of the soil and washed carefully with the garden hose:
The I hang them up under the roof for drying and maturing:
After two weeks the garlic looks like this:
Cut off the dry and loose parts of the plant and the roots from the bulb:
Finally braid it,
and hang up in the kitchen:
This year we got around 80 garlic bulbs, should be enough for a year 😉
