How nice that you found your way here!
My name is Isabelle, but my friends call me simply Isa.
In 2009 I moved from Austria, where I was born and grown up, to Sweden – because of love of course. Together with my Swedish boyfriend (or “sambo” as the Swedes say) Linus I moved to the countryside in 2010 and we now live in an idyllic area dominated by golf courses and horse stables, south of Gothenburg by the Swedish west coast. Our two children Emil (born in 2011) and Nova (born in 2013) and our two burmese tomcats Mowgli and Picasso make our center of life.
This blog is about my life in Sweden, my experiences and adventures in this Scandinavian country, my garden (that has a looooot of potential), my passion for cooking and baking and most of all about our daughter Nova. She was born with a rare condition and I want to tell about how it is to live with a child with special needs, raise it and accompany it on its way to adulthood. I want to encourage other parents with special needs children and I want to show them that they are not alone. All other parents and people without children I want to tell about the challenges, but also the inspiration that such a child involves.
Have a lot of fun here and let me know how you like it!
p.s. As I am no native English speaker I hope you can excuse my imperfect English 😉
